LDP3 Topic Paper - Energy

East Ayrshire Council is preparing its third Local Development Plan, LDP3. The first formal stage of LDP3 will be the production of an Evidence Report.

To inform the Evidence Report for LDP3 we will be publishing a series of topic papers, exploring in detail the evidence we and others hold across the many themes that LDP3 will address. We have now published a Topic Paper on 'Energy.'

The scope of the topic paper is to consider the generation, storage and distribution of energy across East Ayrshire in relation to land use planning and the implications for the spatial strategy of LDP3.

The Energy Topic Paper corresponds with National Planning Framework 4 (NPF4) Policy 11, the intent of which is 'to encourage, promote and facilitate all forms of renewable energy development, onshore and offshore'.
