LDP3 Topic Paper - Housing
This Topic Paper sets out and analyses evidence relating to Housing in East Ayrshire for the forthcoming Local Development Plan 3 (LDP3).
The scope of the topic paper is to consider the available data about housing in East Ayrshire in relation to land use planning and the implications for the spatial strategy of LDP3. The topic paper uses this evidence to establish an indicative Local Housing Land Requirement (iLHLR) for LDP3.
The Housing topic paper corresponds with National Planning Framework 4 (NPF4) Policy 16. Policy 16 aims to "encourage, promote and facilitate the delivery of more high quality, affordable and sustainable homes, in the right locations, providing choice across tenures that meet the diverse housing needs of people and communities across Scotland."
The Topic Paper can be accessed by clicking on the file under 'Download Topic Paper' (across).
The Housing Topic Paper is part of a wider suite of papers, which will be released in groups until the Evidence Report is ready - other relevant Topic Papers can be viewed by clicking Related Projects on this page, or navigating via the main page for Local Development Plan 3.
Please note that Policy 17 of NPF4 and related evidence is covered in our Rural Housing Topic Paper (see related projects).
Alongside the Topic Paper we have also launched our first Self-Build Register (see related projects).
