The recently approved review of Partnership Working in Children and Young People Services Council included the following recommendations, due to be implemented during 2024/25:
Creation of an Executive Officers CYP Group, with a smaller number of senior officers which will focus on setting strategic direction for integrated children’s services while empowering and giving permissions to act in achieving this agreed direction.
Rename the Children and Young Peoples’ Strategic Partnership to Integrated Children’s Services Partnership and review and streamline meeting structures so they are focused, strategic, and include only those with decision-making authority.
Develop or refresh the remit of both meeting groups including revised terms of reference, supported by clarified roles and responsibilities for officers.
Creation of a dedicated leadership and co-ordination post for integrated children’s services aligned to community planning arrangements.
Promote a culture that values transparency, mutual respect, and collective responsibility among all service providers.
Leadership training and development programs to enhance collaborative skills among senior leaders and managers.
Implement integrated data systems that allow for real-time sharing of information and data across services and which also support the measures of success in improving outcomes for our children.
This engagement page will be utilised to publish update documents, action plans and survey related to this implementation process.
