In our survey we are seeking general feedback about the proposals for Cairn Road (George McTurk Court), Cumnock.

Further information on the project is available in the useful documents widget.

Community Benefits

When procuring a contractor to develop the site, we are committed to maximising Community Benefits with the aim of building a range of economic, social and environmental conditions into the delivery of Council Contracts.

We require Community Benefits across four areas:

  • Employment and Skills - encouraging access to quality sustainable employment, assisting unemployed people and providing training opportunities
  • Community Focused Requirements – learning and knowledge exchange opportunities by experienced professionals through community projects, work experience and community engagements
  • Supply Chain Development – promote supply chain opportunities for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs)
  • Social Enterprise – working with social enterprises to deliver local social outcomes across various industries (recycling, community transport, landscaping, catering, employment training and event management etc.)

Our surveys include a ranking exercise of related activities under these headings and give developers the opportunity to detail any specific local activities to be aware of.
