The Place Standard tool

This survey is framed against the Place Standard to understand the importance of a place in your everyday life under the themes of:

• Connectivity – Access to safe and pleasant routes without relying on cars or public transport; affordable, reliable public transport options; and, traffic and parking arrangements.
• Spaces – Access to natural spaces, play/recreational areas and attractive street spaces to meet people.
• Community – Access to facilities and services, such as schools, doctors, shops, libraries, social care and community groups; local economy with a mix of businesses; access to an attractive mix of housing tenures.
• Stewardship – Feeling of having control and belong to a safe, well-maintained community.
