Refugee week East Ayrshire withing Refugee Festival Scotland

East Ayrshire Resettlement Team will be involved in organising events and activities during Refugee week in East Ayrshire. We would like to invite you to contribute as a participant, volunteer or even to help organise an event. Please complete the survey below to express your interest and share any ideas that you would like to be included in Refugee Week.

Refugee Festival Scotland is a nation-wide arts and cultural festival that provides people from refugee backgrounds with a dedicated platform to showcase their creativity, heritage and contributions to life in Scotland and is an opportunity to bring communities together. Scottish Refugee Council convenes and co-ordinates the Festival. It is a privilege to bring communities across Scotland together to share, learn and connect.

Established in 2000, the Festival takes place every June in the run up to World Refugee Day (20th June) and is presented as part of Refugee Week. Over the last 26 years, it has grown from a one-day Glasgow based event, to a ten-day nation-wide programme that presents 150+ events annually, with an estimated maximum attendance of 19,905 people to date.
