On 27 February 2025 East Ayrshire Council agreed to extend the use of the Mauchline Automatic Public Toilet (APC) situated in the Loudoun Street Car Park for a further year.
We're now exploring an alternative solution for when the extended contract for the public toilet ends in 2026 and we're inviting suggestions from the community and the businesses within Mauchline. Please help us by taking five minutes to share your ideas in the this brief survey.

The cost of having the public convenience in the Loudoun Street Car park is £27,130 per year, last year the toilet was used on average 3 times per day which equates to £24.69 per use. As you can see this is not financially sustainable and we would love to hear any practical suggestions, creative ideas or offers of support that you may have. Your input is vital in helping us find a solution that works for everyone.
