Locality Planning
Be at the heart of planning our community services
Planning community services in your area
We’re launching a new way for communities to work with us and other organisations so that we can plan and deliver better services locally for everyone in East Ayrshire – and you can get involved!
Our new planning and engagement groups will bring more people together to explore how we can all help to improve services so that people’s lives are better through an approach called locality planning.
We’ll be looking at services that involve:
- Health
- Social work
- Wellbeing
- Community care
- Housing
- Education
- Community justice
To make sure that we are focussing on what matters most to where you live, we use three areas to cover East Ayrshire:
- Kilmarnock
- North
- South
Maps and lists of settlements covered by each area can be found on East Ayrshire Council’s website.
Launch events: get to know locality planning
Our engagement groups are where you can join other members of your community to explore the things that would make big differences to where you live. Our local planning groups made up of key services will use your views and ideas to develop and deliver local action plans. We’ll also think about how communities can help make those happen.
Come along to one of our launch events to find out what locality planning is all about and how to get involved.
