FAQs
What experience do I need to submit an idea?
While you must be an employee of EAHSCP to submit an idea, you don’t need to have any amount of work experience. Whether you are new to EAHSCP, a student or have worked for the partnership for years, we welcome ideas from people with various backgrounds.
Can I submit an idea that I have seen elsewhere?
Yes of course, innovation is also about learning from others. Just make sure you tell us where you got the idea so we can give credit where it’s due.
What support do I have to submit an idea?
We have Innovation Champions that can talk through your idea and help you think about the things to include.
What counts as a good idea?
All ideas will be considered and discussed. There is no such thing as a bad idea. We want colleagues to think about how the idea impacts people and services. For example: An idea that will result in a reduction in cost or time it takes to deliver a service. The idea itself can be about any service area in Health and Social Care.
What happens after I submit an idea?
Your idea will be screened and then passed onto the adjudicators who will decide where to go with the idea and which ideas we can prioritise. You will be notified of the decision after 20 working days.
Our team of adjudicators will be considering a number of factors, including the resources we currently have available and the strategic priorities of the partnership. So please do not be disheartened if we are unable to progress with your idea. We will keep all your ideas in a bank to be revisited at a later stage, should things change in our partnership. Your time will never be wasted, so keep the ideas flowing!
Will I get a chance to be involved in making the idea happen?
Absolutely! We want the idea person/s to be involved in making it happen. We know it will be a rewarding experience and want to make sure you enjoy every part of it. You don’t have to know how it will all come together, we have teams that will help with that. All of us working together can achieve more than we can on our own.
What if someone I know does not have access to the internet but has a really good idea?
You can request a paper copy of the online form and fill it out and send it back to us at: Innovation Team, Planning and Performance. The Johnnie Walker Bond. 15 Strand Street. Kilmarnock. KA1 1HU.
What differences do we hope innovation can make?
The purpose of innovation is to do better with the resources we have and cut down on waste. If we do innovation right, it will result in our current resources going further, higher job satisfaction, financial savings and cost avoidance, and we will release more time to care – these results vary according to your area of work and the aims of your service.
Can I submit an idea as a group or team?
Absolutely! We are excited to see what collaborative approaches can bring to innovation. Just remember to provide the names of everyone who is involved with the idea.
We're also happy for you to submit an idea on your own, but it would be good to have a think about who else will have an interest in your idea.
