After consultation with stakeholders, including local businesses, taxi operators, planning officers and elected members a decision was taken in 2023 to relocate the taxi rank operating from the Foregate Square to Portland Street to allow the safe demolition of the multi-storey car park.
The taxi rank has remained in situ following the successful completion of the multi-storey car park demolition and currently operates during the hours of 5pm to 8am, seven days a week.
