In order to address severance, make moving around easier, and establish a sense of arrival within Kilmarnock Town Centre, we're considering these projects and initiatives:
Delivery of Foregate Civic Square
Kilmarnock Infinity Loop design work
An assessment of potential transition from the existing one-way system to a partial two-way arrangement.
Reviewing the potential to introduce improvements to key intersections which act as focal crossing points.
Identification of opportunities for enhanced gateways and edges
A revised parking strategy
The Masterplan will focus on improving how we move through the town and seek to balance pedestrian, bicycle and vehicular movement.
