Accessible content for everyone - mobility, visual, hearing and cognitive


We’re legally required to follow the Public Sector Accessibility Regulations (GOV.UK).

This means our websites and mobile apps need to be easy for everyone to use. If we don’t follow the regulations, we will be in breach of the Equality Act 2010.

From Monday 17 November 2025, we stopped publishing inaccessible PDF documents on the East Ayrshire Council website.

To support this, we shared weekly bulletins with tips on creating accessible documents.
