Muirkirk Community Action Plan
This survey is led by and belongs to the community, for the community. It is designed to engage as many people as possible to create a Muirkirk Community Action Plan. The volunteers would appreciate if you could complete this survey digitally as a way of reducing workload in analysing.
What is a Community Action Plan?
Community Action Plan is about helping communities have their voices heard, realise their aspirations and lead on positive change and regeneration in your local area.
What is this questionnaire?
We want to know your ideas about how to make Muirkirk a better place. Your input will help to inform and develop our Community Action Plan for the next 5 years, 2025-2030.
Why is it important?
The survey results will be used to help put together a Community Action Plan which will identify the main priorities for development in Muirkirk over the next 5 years. A Community Action Plan will help local groups to secure funding and support for the main projects and developments that people would like to see. The Action Plan will also be the basis for the community making representation and working in partnership with East Ayrshire Council and other agencies and organisations.
What happens next?
Please complete the questionnaire by Monday 3 March 2025. Your ideas and priorities will be presented to be voted on by the whole community. From your responses and votes we will establish the priorities and produce the Muirkirk Community Action Plan 2025-2030.
Who are “we”?
We are volunteers from Muirkirk acting as a steering group to gather the views of the village, and from that produce and take forward our Community Action Plan. This work is supported by East Ayrshire Council, Vibrant Communities.
