Community Right to Buy

Residents of Kilmaurs are invited to support the proposal for a new Community Hub at Bordone's Central Cafe. To help move this project forward, we ask for your support in principle by completing our petition. Your signaure will help us demonstrated that no less than 10% of Kilmaurs is engaged and supports this project. 

Key Points of the Proposal: 

- Location: Central and accessible, with nearby public transport and parking.

- Building Use: Multi-level space for simultaneous activities, rentable rooms, and potential outdoor development. 

- Purpose: Promote community cohesion, well-being, and inclusion. 

- Features: * Chatty Cafe area * Community groups (e.g., intergenerational afternoons, youth space, book club, knitting, walking group) * Space for local crafts/art display and sale * Talks and services from local partners (e.g., CAB, Home Energy Scotland) 

- Impact: Volunteering and employability opportunities for residents.
